Nexstar Media Group has promoted Dan Lanzano to President of National Advertising Sales, effective immediately. This new leadership role emphasizes Nexstar’s focus on ad sales growth and media monetization across national and digital platforms.

Lanzano will now oversee all national ad sales operations, including teams managing CW Sports, CW Entertainment, and CW Digital assets. He will also direct sales for NewsNation, NewsNationNow.com, Antenna TV, and Rewind TV, along with political and national spot advertising.

As part of his expanded role, Lanzano takes charge of Nexstar’s ad research, paid campaigns, and direct response advertising strategy. He will work from Nexstar’s New York office and report directly to Michael Biard, Nexstar’s President and Chief Operating Officer.

Since joining Nexstar in February 2024, Lanzano has demonstrated exceptional skill in driving revenue and increasing ad market share. As Senior Vice President, he led national sales strategy, managed CW Sports sponsorships, and optimized go-to-market campaign planning.

With nearly 20 years in advertising, Lanzano has formed strong agency partnerships across traditional and digital media platforms. Before joining Nexstar, he spent over a decade at Warner Bros. Discovery in multiple senior roles, including VP of Advertising Sales.
He handled WBD’s monetization across key verticals news, entertainment, sports, and digital platforms like MAX Streaming. Previously, he held sales positions at Turner/Warner Media, where he built experience in media ad revenue strategy and client development.
