WEBTOON Expands Creator Programs for 2026 to Boost Talent Growth

WEBTOON​‍​‌‍​‍‌​‍​‌‍​‍‌ announced its intention to expand the WEBTOON creator programs significantly in 2026. In a bid to help creators become storytellers with long-term careers. The company will unveil new projects that offer support, events, and monetization. Essentially, WEBTOON is going to start its Creator Residency program in 2026. The initiative is a short, immersive program enabling Original Creators’ developers to join workshops & editorial development sessions in Los Angeles. The application process for the very first session will be available on December 18, 2026.

Also, the site will unveil a new dashboard that easier for the creators to how well their series is doing. The updates will be available at the beginning of 2026. WEBTOON intends to extend its presence at large trade shows. The company helping creators better engage with fans will attend major U.S. events to expand interactions & support community connections. For instance, the company is going to increase the presence of a convention in Europe and Southeast Asia.

WEBTOON Strengthens Global Creator Support and Engagement

Apart from that, WEBTOON is a digital Open House where new creators will meet the Creator Care & Editorial teams. These sessions are created for the creators to set objectives and learn the best ways to work. The videos will focus on the stories of the creators’ success and will provide helpful advice.

Arechan, creator of Señorita Cometa, said the program offered valuable creative growth and new perspectives.

WEBTOON’s growth comes after the success of the 2025 pilot program. This included 23 creators and offered personalised editorial feedback and group workshops.
