Atlassian Unveils New AI Features in Confluence to Transform Text into Dynamic Visuals

Atlassian Launches New AI Features in Confluence

Atlassian just launched New AI Features in Confluence that change how teams tell stories with their data. The standout feature is a tool called Remix, which is currently in open beta. Remix allows users to highlight any text or table and instantly turn it into a visual. Teams can create bar charts, flow diagrams, or infographics directly on their project pages. This update means employees spend less time formatting and more time doing real work.

Translating complex technical documents for different departments is a constant challenge for most businesses. However, these new tools allow a single page to serve multiple purposes automatically. Atlassian also introduced partner agents that connect Confluence to apps like Lovable, Replit, and Gamma. These agents move content into external tools without the need for manual copy-pasting. This setup bridges the gap between a written idea and a finished product.

Revolutionizing Team Collaboration

The release shows Atlassian’s commitment to an open and flexible workspace for all teams. These new features run on the Model Context Protocol (MCP) to ensure data flows securely. Furthermore, a smart recommendation system suggests the best visual format based on the content type. This ensures that every chart or diagram is as effective as possible. Innovation is now baked into the core of the documentation experience.

Sanchan Saxena, SVP at Atlassian, described the impact of this “frictionless” workflow.

“With Remix and partner agents in Confluence, a single page becomes the starting point for whatever comes next: a clear story for leaders, a prototype for builders, or a walkthrough for customers, all from the same source of truth.”

These updates are powered by Atlassian’s Teamwork Graph for smarter organizational insights. The new partner agents will appear in the Rovo directory starting April 13. This move secures Confluence’s role as a dynamic content hub rather than a static database. It allows information to stay updated across different platforms simultaneously. Users can look forward to even more visual AI enhancements throughout the coming year.
