Gradial has launched Foundry, an invitation-only CMO community focused on AI-native marketing. The community will bring leading enterprise marketers together.
The purpose of Foundry is to assist marketing executives in developing new ways of interacting with AI. Gradial established the community with a focus on collaboration, learning, and industry conversation. Nowadays, marketing departments can get access to much more technology and data. Nevertheless, there are still plenty of teams that spend much time on approval management.
These include agency relations, governance, handovers, and so forth. This is how marketers can waste their time and not focus on creative processes. The Foundry platform will provide marketing executives with an opportunity to consider all these problems. Members will exchange best practices and challenge existing assumptions.
“We have spent years working alongside some of the world’s largest marketing organizations and building technology for this moment,” said Doug Tallmadge, CEO and cofounder of Gradial. “We feel a responsibility to give back to the industry. Foundry creates a space for the leaders navigating this change to learn from one another, challenge the old assumptions, and help shape what comes next. It also gives us an incredible opportunity to listen and make sure the future we are building reflects what marketers need.”
Foundry Brings Marketing Leaders Together
Stephanie Ferguson, ex-CVP of Marketing at Microsoft, will head the committee. The community will also consist of marketing professionals from companies in the Fortune 500 list. Foundry will hold quarterly meetings to proceed with these conversations. Gradial will also expand its initiative through Foundry Labs, research work, and a podcast. The committee will review new marketing operating models as well as the effects of artificial intelligence on marketing teams.
“One of the greatest lessons I took from building an agency was that the best ideas rarely come from one person or one discipline,” said Kamran. “You create the space to remove bias, flare before you focus, and bring different perspectives together to think differently about the problem. And you lead with empathy because transformation only works when you bring the broader organization with you. That is what we want Foundry to be. A place where incredible marketers help one another think bigger, learn faster, and ultimately unlock more of their creative potential.”
In addition to that, they will be discussing governance, measurements, and collaboration across functions. This discussion will involve the CIO, data, legal, and finance functions. Gradial views Foundry as part of its overall strategy for marketing transformation. Gradial wants AI to provide marketers more flexibility and opportunity to experiment. In general, Gradial’s goal with Foundry is to help marketers think differently about operations and focus on creativity.
“AI cannot simply be layered onto yesterday’s operating model and called transformation,” said Ferguson. “We have an opportunity to redesign how marketing works, and marketers themselves should lead that conversation.”
