Flam Secures $40 Million Series B to Expand AI Interactive Content

Flam

Flam has secured a total of $40 million in Series B funding to expand its AI-driven interactive content platform. The lead investor in the round was QED Investors. Other participants were Claypond Capital, Martin Chavez, Olivier Pomel, Venky Harinarayan, and Shahrukh Khan. RTP Global and Dovetail have increased their stakes too. Moreover, in just six quarters, Flam has acquired more than 100 enterprise customers.

Google, State Farm, and Diageo are among Flam’s customers using its technology for marketing, product visualization, and learning development. The company uses its interactive digital experience platform for all of the above, as well as entertainment, fan engagement, and sales purposes.

“Flam is built on a simple observation. Content has moved in waves, from text to images to video, and every wave flowed one way, creator to viewer. We think interactive is the next default for the internet,” said Shourya Agarwal, Founder of Flam. “The demand was always there. The technology wasn’t. We have made interactivity effortless to build and deploy at enterprise scale.”

Flam Expands Its AI Interactive Content Platform

Flam possesses over 15 patents and presently offers three types of content. Flicks refer to interactive video, which is able to transform people, products, and scenes during play. This type of content makes use of a compression technology patented by Flam and also achieves a time-to-first-buffer of 50ms. Forge refers to Flam’s editing technology.

The airboards provide ultra-high fidelity 3D data via camera interaction. It includes touch-based, voice-controlled interactions, and haptics. The 3D Streaming technology from Flam loads airboards within 300 ms without needing any application. Fable, an image-to-video model, generates these assets as videos with an alpha channel.

In Visual Agents, one is able to see human characters that provide agentic actions as well as conversations. According to Flam, this feels more like a video call rather than a chat box. Finesse controls language conversations, while Fantom controls facial expressions using motion transfer and identity preservation.

With Falcon, an MoE LLM featuring 26B parameters, users can receive answers within 30ms from the time-to-first-token. The total pipeline takes less than two seconds to provide an answer. This capital will be used for research and development of AI models at Flam.
