Dynasty Financial Partners has appointed Alex Kaminsky as Chief Marketing Officer to strengthen its brand and support growth across the RIA industry. The AI-enabled wealth management platform also announced a new leadership role for former CMO Gordon “Gordy” Abel.
Kaminsky will work out of the Dynasty office in St. Petersburg, Florida, and report to the company’s Founder and CEO, Shirl Penney. On the other hand, Abel will be the Chief Brand Officer in his newly created position, working out of New York City and reporting to Kaminsky.
Dynasty has over 750 financial advisors on board and manages $135 billion in assets, positioning the company to make its mark in the industry by fostering an environment where financial advisors can preserve their independence.
“Dynasty means sustained excellence. It means winning, and winning consistently over time,” said Penney. “Our message is about triangulation of advice, making independence last, and winning in an aligned way for all the stakeholders who depends on us: RIA clients, their clients, employees and their families, resource partners, and investors. Alex will magnify that message, so we reach and help more people live their healthiest financial lives. At Dynasty, we get to live our American Dream by empowering others to live theirs.”
He emphasized the company’s commitment to serving RIA clients, their customers, employees, resource partners, and investors. Kaminsky will help communicate this mission to broader audiences and support the company’s growth ambitions.
Alex Kaminsky Brings Extensive Marketing Leadership Experience
With over 25 years of experience in the field of marketing within fortune 500 companies, public firms, as well as private equity backed firms, Kaminsky is no stranger to corporate management. Kaminsky has managed at Corpay, YP, The Weather Channel, Coca-Cola, ESPN, and Turner Broadcasting among other firms.
Most recently, Kaminsky spent eight years at NYSE-listed Corpay. He eventually became Global Chief Brand Officer and partnered with the CEO on growth strategy, brand architecture, and market positioning.
He spearheaded the integration of marketing that included functions such as demand generation, communication, digital marketing, events, and customer experience. Also, Corpay’s first AI Creative Studio was introduced by him. This effort helped save over $2 million per year.
Kaminsky’s focus at Dynasty will be to develop Dynasty’s brand and help businesses within the network. Kaminsky will work in collaboration with Ken Hoffman, Head of Dynasty Consulting Group and the Network Marketing Team headed by Catherine Mitchell and Peter Ward.
“Dynasty is at the front of the pack on technology, on market-leading initiatives, and on industry insight,” said Kaminsky. “To help shape the brand of a category-defining firm at an inflection point like this is a rare opportunity, and I could not be more excited.”
Strategic Support to Strengthen Dynasty’s Brand
Dynasty Board member John Seifert, former Chairman and CEO of Ogilvy, has provided brand guidance during the company’s strategy refresh. Additionally, Shirl Penney consulted Vayner Media and Gary Vaynerchuk, who helped connect Dynasty with Kaminsky.
“Alex has the creative vision, the operating discipline, and the AI-forward mindset to take our brand to the next level for all our stakeholders in an aligned way,” said Penney. “He is the rare combination of old school marketing meeting new school, and joins at an exciting moment for a founder-led business to reimagine its brand and its impact on the industry, and we could not be more thrilled.”
Penney lauded Kaminsky for his blend of creativity in leadership, operations, and an AI mindset. Penney sees this move as a way of boosting the brand image of Dynasty and increasing its influence within the industry. These leadership moves will enable Dynasty to implement their brand strategy.
