The Evernote AI productivity update arrives with version v11, marking the company’s first major product overhaul in five years. This is part of three powerful, AI-driven features designed to enhance how users capture, organize, and retrieve information. Starting today, these features are available to all customers on Evernote. Version v11 represents two years of innovation in development, speed, and reliability under the parent company, Bending Spoons. Additionally, the company announced several enhancements to key workflows, including improved editing and capture tools, along with more refined navigation features. One of the most significant additions is an AI Assistant that brings conversational intelligence directly into Evernote. Built in collaboration with OpenAI, it will enable users to summarize content. Surface relevant notes, and even search the web, all without leaving the app.
“Evernote has been part of people’s lives for years, often decades. They’ve always inspired. Shaped how our platform evolves,” said Federico Simionato, product lead at Evernote.“Through hundreds of interviews and workshops, we designed v11’s AI features to make people’s everyday needs of capturing and organizing. Retrieving information in Evernote is more intuitive and efficient than ever,” Simionato added.
Key AI Features Transform Productivity
Furthermore, Semantic Search allows users to search their notes using not only keywords but also descriptions of the note’s content. This not only makes searching faster but also more user-friendly than before. The third new feature that has been incorporated in this update is referred to as AI Meeting Notes. This feature records and summarizes a meeting that has multiple speakers. This feature allows users to stay engaged during meetings and also recall what was discussed at a later time. In addition to AI improvements, other updates include Evernote’s refreshed interface, introduced as part of the January 19th, 2026 update.
