FourKites and Chorus Introduce Store Marketing Intelligence for Consumer Brands

Store Marketing Intelligence

FourKites has partnered with Chorus to launch Store Marketing Intelligence, a new solution that improves retail marketing intelligence & promotional display tracking. The service helps consumer packaged goods (CPG), food and beverage, & retail brands monitor promotional displays from manufacturing through store delivery. Moreover, it identifies delivery problems and coordinates recovery without requiring store employees to participate.

The solution solves an expensive problem in marketing consumer goods, whereby brands lose visibility on their promotional displays following production. As a result, some of the displays fail to make it to the retail level. INFORMS research analyzed approximately 15,000 displays across 5,000 stores within a single retail chain. The study examined promotional display placement and performance across these retail locations. Out of all the displays, 29% never made it to the sales floor, and those that did stayed there for just 62% of the time.

Previously, brands often relied on expensive field audits to verify promotional execution. However, Store Marketing Intelligence provides continuous supply chain visibility and supports faster corrective action.

AI-Powered Tracking Improves Retail Execution

The service tracks individual displays throughout distribution networks and into stores. When a display leaves its planned route or remains in a back room, the platform creates a recovery task. It then coordinates rerouting or floor placement while the promotion remains active.

“Chorus’s foundational Machine Learning algorithms provide actionable insights using item-level location and condition data across the supply chain, closing visibility gaps throughout each display’s journey. That data feeds into FourKites’ platform, extending its network intelligence all the way to the store floor,” said Suresh Vishnubhatla, CEO, Chorus.

Moreover, there is no need for any dedicated hardware installation, integration, or system replacement to implement this solution. Brands can easily implement it and track displays in multiple stores and regions, as well as in multiple campaigns. The solution helps identify incorrectly delivered displays.

“For forty years, brands have paid for promotional execution they could not see,” said Matt Elenjickal, founder and CEO of FourKites. “Store Marketing Intelligence ends that, and it does so without asking a single store to install anything. This is what Outcome-as-a-Service looks like in practice: not a report telling you what went wrong last quarter, but a service that gets the display into the store while the promotion is still running. It is the difference between measuring failure and preventing it.”

Outcome-Focused Retail Marketing

The release aligns with FourKites’ Outcome-as-a-Service initiative. Rather than buying yet another dashboard solution, companies put money toward proven promotions and increased revenue potential.

Additionally, brands can use confirmed floor placement together with point-of-sale (POS) information in order to measure the effectiveness of their campaigns. This strategy can also help brands save money on third-party merchandise and plan promotions for the future more efficiently. The service is available 24/7 through the use of live network data and brand-operating procedures. In the meantime, the AI-based technology of Chorus monitors the entire display journey.
