Hightouch has appointed Jitendra Kumar as Head of Commercial, Advertising. The move strengthens Hightouch’s agentic marketing strategy and advertising operations.
Kumar has 20 years of work experience at Google before joining his new job. He last held the post of US agency partnerships at Google. However, Hightouch is continuing to grow within the areas of data and AI in marketing. The company intends to incorporate AI agents in day-to-day marketing operations.
The appointment is in light of the growth experienced by Hightouch this year, when it was able to raise $150 million in Series D funding. This has increased the valuation of Hightouch to $2.75 billion. Hightouch intends to use the funding to further its AI-based marketing strategy.
Hightouch has increased by more than 100 percent in the last two years. Companies are increasingly looking for AI agents to optimize their marketing plans and operations. Advertisements play a large role in this space. As companies automate the process of executing campaigns, they require better data and contextual understanding. Hightouch is building an Agentic Marketing Platform for this very reason.
“In my two decades at Google, I saw, firsthand how agencies and marketers struggle with signal loss, fragmented execution, and tech sprawl. Our industry is used to it, but the level of waste and inefficiency would shock an outsider. Agentic marketing offers a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to fix how advertising works,” said Kumar. “What drew me to Hightouch is the opportunity to rethink from the ground up how marketers leverage data and trusted context to establish the ultimate competitive advantage. I’m thrilled to join the team to help enterprise brands, agency networks, and platform partners turn first-party intelligence into autonomous, high-ROI business outcomes.”
Hightouch Strengthens Its Advertising Strategy
Through Kumar, Hightouch will have access to the entire advertising ecosystem. In particular, he will engage agencies and brands they represent. Holding companies, independent agencies, and advertising platforms will also be a part of the process. His contribution will help organizations use first-party data and AI in media workflows.
Kumar will also help in the adoption of Hightouch’s advertising solutions. They include Ad Studio, the advertising solution from Hightouch. Kumar has had the chance to occupy various leadership roles at Google in its advertising business.
“Jitendra understands advertising from nearly every angle, and he has spent his career helping some of the largest marketers and agencies navigate major shifts in technology,” said Tejas Manohar, Co-Founder and Co-CEO of Hightouch. “We believe AI is going to fundamentally change how agencies and marketing teams operate. The opportunity isn’t simply to automate the workflows marketers already have, but to give them entirely new ways to turn their data, strategy, and creativity into action. Jitendra brings the experience and perspective we need as we build that future across advertising.”
The company Hightouch is still working on its Agentic Marketing Platform, which works across various marketing channels. This platform includes customer data, brand information, and marketing orchestration. It works on AI agents for advertising, emails, SMSs, and web pages. Therefore, Hightouch works to assist marketing teams in putting data and strategy into action.
