Motive Names Andrew Bennett as Chief Marketing Officer to Advance AI Leadership and Fuel Global Growth

Andrew Bennett

Motive, an AI platform for physical operations, has named Andrew Bennett as its new Chief Marketing Officer. The appointment supports the company’s AI leadership and global growth strategy. Bennett will lead global marketing, including brand, demand generation, communications, and product marketing. He will also join Motive’s executive leadership team.

The announcement follows Motive’s strongest quarter to date. The company surpassed $600 million in annual recurring revenue (ARR), while its ARR growth reached 30% year over year. Additionally, Motive secured more than $1.3 billion in growth financing from General Catalyst in September. The funding will help advance its AI platform, expand go-to-market teams, and serve complex operations worldwide.

Motive Strengthens Marketing Leadership Amid Growth

Thomas Hansen, President of Go-To-Market at Motive, highlighted Bennett’s experience and the company’s recent progress.

“Andrew joins Motive at our strongest moment yet, with our AI delivering real results for customers every day,” said Thomas Hansen, President, Go-To-Market at Motive. “He’s a proven enterprise leader who knows how to build a category-defining brand and a growth engine to match. That’s exactly what we need to bring Motive to more of the companies that keep the world moving.”

Meanwhile, Bennett said Motive is establishing a strong position in AI for physical operations. The platform helps organizations address operational challenges across vehicles and equipment.

“Motive is setting the standard for AI in physical operations,” said Andrew Bennett, Chief Marketing Officer at Motive. “Our AI sees what’s happening on the road and in the field and takes action to prevent collisions, keep vehicles and equipment running and eliminate manual work. I’m thrilled to join this team to help drive Motive’s next phase of growth and scale and put Motive’s AI to work for the world’s largest and most complex operations.”

Bennett Brings Extensive Marketing Experience

Bennett brings more than two decades of experience in marketing and sales leadership. Before joining Motive, he served as Chief Marketing Officer at Elementum, an AI workflow orchestration platform.

Before his current role, Bennett served as CMO at Conga, which was a commercial operations platform. Prior to that, he worked for ten years at Smartsheet, which is a work management platform. At this company, he set up the demand generation function and also managed commercial sales.

Furthermore, Bennett is also a Limited Partner at Stage 2 Capital, which is an early-stage investment company focused on software firms. Bennett’s appointment is being made amidst the expansion of Motive’s Artificial Intelligence capabilities and go-to-market activities. Through the efforts of Bennett as Global Marketing leader, Motive will focus on growing its brand and market footprint.
