Reply has officially introduced the jury and the new theme for the second edition of its AI Music Contest. The theme for the current year is Imaginatio Nova, which inspires artists to delve into a world that combines human creativity with technology. The program targets music artists who use AI to compose their music. Those interested can submit their projects until June 1, 2026. Finalists will have the opportunity to perform live on the NOVA stage during the Kappa FuturFestival in Turin from July 3 to 5.
The jury for the AI Music Contest features a massive lineup of talent from across the artistic and tech landscapes. Joining the panel are French producer Agoria, multidisciplinary artist Max Cooper, and DJs Fleur Shore and Tini Gessler. Visual artist Ali Demirel, journalist Albi Scotti, and Reply’s Oliver Bohl and Sarah Grimaldi also joined the group. The group also features industry veterans Sergio Cerruti, President of AFI, and Filippo Giani, Global Creative Director at Reply. It includes electronic music pioneers Ralph Moore and Christian Smith, along with festival founders Maurizio and Gerardo Vitale.
This expert panel will evaluate submissions based on creativity and the integration of sound and image. The jury will also consider the impact of each project in a live performance setting. In addition to the performances, the panel will present the “Reply AI Studios Grand Prix” award. The award will recognize excellence and technical innovation in the use of AI. This entire initiative is part of the Reply Challenges, a program that now counts nearly 250,000 participants worldwide. By hosting the finalists at the Kappa FuturFestival, one of the world’s top-ranked electronic music festivals, Reply continues to research how generative AI can support and enhance the creative process.
