Nielsen and Triton Digital have integrated Triton’s Podcast Metrics Demos+ into the Nielsen Media Impact (NMI) solution. This collaboration brings greater visibility to podcast audiences within the cross-media planning tool. The integration provides podcast data alongside other media channels. It enables the industry to see how podcasting fits into a broader media plan. This update addresses the need for precision and comparability in modern advertising.
Triton Digital’s data in Nielsen Media Impact (NMI) covers every podcast show and network. The data includes subnetworks in the underlying podcast download measurement. This enhancement helps podcast publishers and sales networks appear in the planning process. Advertisers can plan against individual shows or full programmatic campaigns. They can reach audiences across the long tail of podcasts.
Improved Measurement and Sales Representation
Nielsen will serve as the primary sales representative for Triton’s podcast measurement in the U.S. This expands access through Nielsen’s established publisher and agency relationships. The tool helps users evaluate the reach, resonance, and reaction of podcasting. It offers the granularity that the modern market demands for audio data.
Rich Tunkel, Managing Director of Nielsen Audio, highlighted the value of the new data.
“Our collaboration with Triton Digital makes it easier for advertisers to evaluate and plan podcasts alongside, and with the same level of precision, comparability, and confidence as other media channels, delivering a critical need,” Tunkel said.
John Rosso, CEO of Triton Digital, emphasized the medium’s unique strengths.
“Podcasting delivers a unique combination of scale, intimacy, and attention that few other channels can match,” Rosso stated. “Together with Nielsen, we’re unlocking the value and capabilities podcasts deliver in a modern media plan.”
This integration ensures that Nielsen Media Impact provides comprehensive podcast visibility.
