Sopra Steria has completed its acquisition of Digital Product Simulation to strengthen its PLM solutions portfolio. The move supports its long-term growth strategy. The company confirmed the acquisition through its subsidiary CIMPA.
In addition to that, Sopra Steria also intends to provide a full range of PLM solutions to its strategic clients. The acquisition will improve the knowledge base in digital simulation and engineering services. Moreover, it will solidify the company’s leadership in the sphere of advanced industrial technologies. Also, the acquisition increases Sopra Steria’s proficiency in using the 3DEXPERIENCE platform offered by Dassault Systèmes. The mentioned platform is an important component of current PLM systems.
Digital Product Simulation is able to leverage a pool of more than 115 highly qualified engineers. The organization has reported income of about €12 million for 2025 according to the International Financial Reporting Standards. Consequently, Sopra Steria has been able to obtain additional technical experience through simulation-based development. In addition, the acquisition is able to enhance the service offered to customers in key markets. This includes aeronautics, defense, and nuclear industries, which are expected to grow considerably in the future.
Sopra Steria is therefore further increasing its reach into sovereign and strategic sectors. The firm will continue concentrating on innovation and digitization. This move is consistent with its wider vision of offering high-value-added engineering services. In general, this acquisition is therefore important for Sopra Steria in terms of increasing its capacity to offer PLM solutions. It will also assist industrial clients in their simulations.
