NextSilicon has strengthened its global leadership team with two senior appointments. The company named Kit Chee as Chief Sales Officer and Kristin Owens as Chief Marketing Officer. These NextSilicon leadership appointments support its commercial expansion across AI, high-performance computing (HPC), and enterprise markets.
These are part of NextSilicon’s efforts to deploy its Maverick-2 accelerator platform that is ready for racks. NextSilicon aims to move its platform from deployments to more customers’ acceptance.
Chee will lead global sales efforts and generate sales growth. He will also create strategic relationships with customers in important markets. On the other hand, Owens will lead global marketing, brand management, demand creation, and communications.
Both executives will report to Rupal Hollenbeck, President and Chief Business Officer. Hollenbeck joined NextSilicon in August to lead its global commercial strategy.
Experienced Leaders Strengthen Global Operations
Chee brings 33 years of experience in semiconductor, data center, cloud, and HPC sales. He spent most of his career at Intel, where he led Cloud, Enterprise, and HPC sales.
Later, he served as Chief Revenue Officer and Chief Business Development and Operations Officer at Ampere. He also held the position of Vice President of Global Strategic Alliances and Field Enablement at Check Point Software Technologies.
“NextSilicon is solving a problem I’ve heard from customers throughout my career: they want better performance with maximum efficiency and without complicated software rewrites,” said Chee. “The technology is gaining traction at leading labs, and the team is exceptional. I’m thrilled to join Elad and Rupal and help bring it to many more customers.”
Owens brings 26 years of experience across marketing, business development, and operations. Her previous organizations include Intel, Cerebras Systems, Supermicro, KPMG, and Avnet.
Most recently, she served as Vice President of Field and Partner Marketing at Check Point. She also took on interim CMO responsibilities during her tenure.
“NextSilicon has technology that is already proving itself in some of the most demanding computing environments in the world,” said Owens. “I’m excited to build a marketing organization that tells this story, and connects that technology to the customers and partners who need it. I’m looking forward to working alongside Kit and Rupal to turn awareness into pipeline.”
NextSilicon Expands Its Commercial Leadership
Hollenbeck welcomed both executives as the company strengthens its market presence. She highlighted Chee’s experience building global data center sales organizations. Additionally, she emphasized Owens’ marketing expertise and leadership background.
“I’m thrilled to welcome these two senior leaders to NextSilicon at this important time in our history. Kit has spent three decades building and leading global data center sales organizations, and he knows how to build a repeatable commercial engine,” said Rupal Hollenbeck, President and Chief Business Officer of NextSilicon. “Kristin brings decades of marketing depth and experience, and will partner with Kit to create awareness and convert that to interest and deployments.”
According to Hollenbeck, Owens needs to work closely with Chee to ensure that the brand awareness is built and that customer interest is created. Not only that, but the goal is to transform the market interest into deployment. This way, NextSilicon ensures that it has solid go-to-market leadership.
