Adams Outdoor Advertising has expanded its outdoor advertising network across western Pennsylvania through a major acquisition. The company acquired 83 billboard faces from Penneco Outdoor Advertising. This deal strengthens its Pennsylvania Turnpike presence and extends its Ohio Valley Market into Indiana and Bedford counties.
This new acquisition consists of 15 billboard faces on the Pennsylvania Turnpike (I-76) between Irwin and Bedford. As a result, Adams has increased its number of billboards on this section of the highway by more than three times. As per PennDOT traffic statistics, over 36,000 cars pass through here daily.
The Turnpike billboards provide advertisements with exposure to commuter traffic, interstate traffic, and freight traffic. The billboards will also be exposed to people who are traveling to/from Pittsburgh and eastern Pennsylvania.
Acquisition Adds Digital Billboards and Expands Regional Coverage
Additionally, the acquisition brings eight digital billboard faces across Irwin, North Huntingdon, Delmont, and Uniontown. The remaining locations cover Westmoreland, Fayette, Indiana, Bedford, and Allegheny counties.
The expanded network also includes communities such as Greensburg, Export, Mount Pleasant, New Stanton, and Latrobe. Other locations serve Blairsville, Homer City, Connellsville, and Elizabeth.
Also, the billboards posted at U.S. 30, U.S. 22, and Route 51 will be viewed by those traveling towards Pittsburgh. At the same time, places such as Route 119 and Route 981 will target people going to the Arnold Palmer Regional Airport and Indiana University of Pennsylvania.
This acquisition also strengthens Adams’ regional advertising coverage. The company now operates more than 1,160 billboard faces across its Ohio Valley Market. This network covers eastern Ohio and western Pennsylvania.
Kevin Jones, Chief Executive Officer of Adams Outdoor Advertising, highlighted the strategic value of the acquisition.
“The Pennsylvania Turnpike is one of the most important corridors in the region, and this acquisition gives our customers a much stronger presence along it,” said Kevin Jones, Chief Executive Officer of Adams Outdoor Advertising. “Combined with new digital inventory and coverage in Indiana and Bedford counties, these assets give advertisers more ways to reach audiences across western Pennsylvania. We’re committed to building the Ohio Valley Market into one of the strongest networks in our portfolio.”
Through this expansion, Adams aims to strengthen its advertising network across western Pennsylvania. Moreover, the additional billboard locations give advertisers more opportunities to connect with regional audiences.
