LongHu and Eastday Introduce Joint Brand Revitalization Initiative

Brand revitalization

LongHu has launched a brand revitalization initiative with Eastday to refresh its century-old identity. The initiative brings traditional Chinese herbal culture into new consumer experiences.

Shanghai Zhonghua Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. owns the Chinese brand known as LongHu. It is employing creative collaborations to link its legacy with younger people. Recently, it made news at a coffee culture festival through LongHu’s launch of an unconventional product called “LongHu Medicated Oil Coffee.”

The unique product gained popularity among younger generations soon after its production. There was an audience of more than a million people on digital platforms. Moreover, it boosted event attendance and triggered discussion on social networks.

While that was happening, LongHu celebrated another milestone on May 7. The company had its product launch of “Shen Long Huo Hu II.” This is a result of the co-branding effort of LongHu and Shanghai Shenhua Football Club. This is because this new product combines the heritage of LongHu with youth.

LongHu Expands Youth-Focused Brand Experiences

In consequence of this, the partnership helps give the traditional brand a modern face. Moreover, it provides the introduction of new products based on the interests of modern consumers. LongHu continued its brand campaigns on September 17, launching the “Shen Long Huo Hu II Energy Recharge Pop-Up Store” for seven days.

The pop-up had a non-stop consumer activity calendar. Consumers would get immersed in the experience and also engage in interactive check-ins. Moreover, the pop-up would have limited-time experiences for consumers. Through the above-mentioned activities, consumers got to experience the changing LongHu brand identity.

Also, LongHu has entered into a collaboration with the Shanghai High School Football League. Both entities have jointly developed an artificial intelligence (AI)-based short drama. Thus, this collaboration represents an additional aspect of the brand revival efforts of the company.

Be it coffee culture or launching products, LongHu continues to discover new methods to connect with consumers. Pop-up stores and artificial intelligence-driven content are other examples that illustrate LongHu’s quest to connect with its consumers. Along with these efforts, LongHu continues to tap into Chinese traditional herbal culture.

This is how LongHu is trying to showcase a fresh face to foreign markets. It plans to make its centuries-old tradition more youthful and international. In the future, LongHu intends to keep partnering with organizations from various sectors. This partnership will help LongHu rejuvenate its brand and expand globally.
