“Mika brings that rare combination of experience across enterprise marketing, sales, support, customer experience, and go-to-market transformation for an AI world,” said Anand Eswaran, CEO of Veeam. “She has experienced this industry from every angle analyst, operator, executive leader, and has consistently put the customer and partner at the center of how companies operate. She knows how to drive growth through building a brand, creating demand, and connecting the entire story from first impression to value delivered. Mika will play a critical role in shaping how we show up in the market and the experiences we deliver to every customer.”
Leadership Vision and AI-Driven Customer Strategy
The company believes clarity remains essential as organizations explore AI-driven innovation. This means that Yamamoto will play a role in ensuring that their clients capitalize on their data in terms of value and security. Additionally, Yamamoto will always make sure that every engagement builds on the last one.
“I’m excited to join this incredible team. Veeam is doing something genuinely unique, ensuring that a core asset, data and AI, can deliver remarkable impact for their customers,” said Yamamoto. “Organizations are putting AI to work across every function in their businesses. They need complete visibility, control, and security over the data behind their agentic and human-driven processes on a single trusted platform. Veeam is well-positioned to deliver this value. What also excites me is that Veeam cares as much about how they do their work as the impact they provide to their customers, partners, and employees.”
She is moving from Freshworks, where she spearheaded AI-enabled customer growth initiatives. She previously worked for F5, SAP, and Microsoft in key positions. Moreover, she oversaw the acquisition of Marketo by Adobe. In this way, Veeam keeps progressing in its AI marketing approach.
