Sigma Enters Strategic Agreement with AWS to Boost AI Apps, Agents, and Analytics

Sigma Signs Strategic Agreement with AWS

Sigma has announced a multi-year agreement with Amazon Web Services to accelerate AI app development across enterprises. The collaboration strengthens Sigma’s cloud analytics capabilities. Moreover, the deal enhances access to scalable AI apps solutions on AWS infrastructure.

Sigma will have its team aligned, & also enhance its go-to-market strategy. Furthermore, Sigma’s product can be purchased on AWS Marketplace. In such a manner, it becomes easier to purchase and deploy the product. Thus, enterprises will be able to create AI applications faster via cloud data governance.

“Sigma was built to be warehouse-first, and for a huge share of our customers, that warehouse lives on AWS,” said Mike Palmer, Sigma CEO. “This agreement doesn’t change our architecture. It further aligns our go-to-market with it. One place to discover, buy, and deploy Sigma, inside the same AWS environment our customers already govern and trust. That’s the kind of simplicity that actually gets AI Apps and agents off the ground and into production.”

Strengthening Cloud-Based AI Analytics and Data Innovation

Additionally, the agreement helps AWS users integrate existing data systems easily, improving cloud operations & supporting efficient data management across platforms. This means that businesses can build their AI applications, agents, and analytics without interfering with other activities.

There will be collaboration between Sigma and AWS in a number of key strategic areas. The first of them is co-selling and field operation alignment. The initiative will assist the clients in identifying valuable use cases fast. Furthermore, both parties will engage in joint marketing campaigns and demand generation to demonstrate the performance of AI applications on AWS. Finally, Sigma will improve integration of its products into AWS data and AI services.

“At United Rentals, data is central to how our teams deliver productivity and predictability to our customers,” said Mark Bishop, Director, Enterprise Reporting & Analytics, United Rentals. “We collaborate with AWS across our data and AI initiatives and rely on Sigma to help users quickly explore and act on business data. As Sigma strengthens its collaboration with AWS, we see meaningful opportunities to unlock additional value.”

“Sigma gives our mutual customers a fast, governed way to turn their data on AWS into analytics, applications, and agents that drive real outcomes,” said Jeff Grimes, Manager of Global Startups program, AWS. “Through this Strategic Collaboration Agreement and Sigma’s availability in AWS Marketplace, we’re making it easier for customers to adopt and scale these capabilities with the speed, security, and simplicity they expect from AWS.”

Customers will be able to explore their large datasets without actually shifting any data. This way, the governance will not be compromised while the efficiency will get better. Sigma is also increasing its footprint as far as the cloud-native analytics platform is concerned. The deal has come on the back of Sigma’s latest $80 million funding round, which valued the company at $3 billion. Overall, the collaboration is going to support Sigma’s growth strategy.
