Aprimo Introduces Content Portfolio Management to Extend Governance Beyond the DAM

Content Portfolio Management

Aprimo has launched Content Portfolio Management, an AI-powered solution for enterprise content governance. The solution extends governance beyond traditional digital asset management (DAM) systems.

Aprimo develops digital asset management and content operations solutions for enterprises. Its new solution discovers content across websites, cloud storage, partner portals, CMS platforms, and external systems.

At the same time, the use of AI continues to drive the volume of enterprise content higher. Yet, most governance processes are still manual and decentralized. Moreover, the majority of such content is not located in central DAMs. Consequently, the brand team faces difficulties with monitoring live content and its compliance. The compliance team has problems with the growing volume of content production.

“AI is driving every organization to create an order of magnitude more content than ever,” said Erik Huddleston, Chief Executive Officer at Aprimo. “In an AI-driven future, governing that content isn’t optional; it’s a requirement. But the tools and approaches organizations rely on today just don’t scale to manage content at this pace and volume. CPM solves this by taking governance upstream to where content is created and downstream to wherever compliance violations are actually occurring, not just what sits inside a DAM.”

AI-Powered Content Governance Across the Enterprise

According to Aprimo, 65% of organizations report rising asset volumes each year. However, only 31% consistently enforce brand guidelines across their content. Content Portfolio Management uses three core capabilities. First, Mesh discovers content throughout an organization’s ecosystem. It scans websites, file storage, partner portals, and social media accounts.

Mesh then creates a unified visibility layer without requiring content migration. It fingerprints assets and removes duplicates against known DAM content. Next, Aprimo’s Open Agent Framework applies governance checks across distributed content. Librarian Agents enrich content with metadata. Critic Agents identify quality issues.

Meanwhile, Compliance Agents flag potential brand and legal violations. These AI agents help teams apply governance across content wherever it resides. The Portfolio Risk Dashboard then organizes findings by region, brand, asset type, and severity. Therefore, teams can identify and address higher-risk issues first.

“CPM augments teams with persistent, orchestrated AI that accelerates execution while strengthening governance,” added Huddleston. “Organizations that continue to manage content as static assets will struggle to compete.”

Aprimo also highlighted several customer use cases. Organizations can monitor websites against approved DAM versions. They can also review partner networks and identify compliance issues. In addition, CPM can help teams retire expired campaigns. It can also extend compliance checks across distributed storage environments.

Helen of Troy uses CPM to automate website governance.

“CPM’s automated compliance agents are transforming how we flag accessibility and ADA compliance risks across our entire content ecosystem. We can now govern compliance at the scale and speed our business demands across all our brands.” Suzzette Freedlander, Art Director Beauty and Wellness Brands, Helen of Troy.”
